Well, Ezekiel may have his wheels within wheels but we have Water Wheels within Water Wheels
The Campbell Bar has by wheeling and dealing obtained some Water Wheel 1998 Shiraz and some Water Wheel 1998 Cabernet. Each of these wines is an fine example of winemaker Peter Cummings' ability to produce wines that exploit to the maximum the varietal characteristics of these classic red grape types.
It is remarkable that the Campbell Bar is able to serve these wines at the standard per glass price. For those drinkers who want to take the opportunity to do a horizontal tasting (no, this does not mean lying down to drink! - see below) initially bottles of both varieties will be open.
The Campbell Bar sales of the Water Wheel wines will be limited to selected occasions and some bottles will be cellared for later tastings.
horizontal tasting: wines of the same vintage and sharing some other commonality such as winemaker or grape type.
vertical tasting: wines of successive vintages usually matched both by winery and grape type.
