A Yellow Fantasy
It is the Publicity Agent's office, the walls are covered with car posters, AutoCad is running on his computer, the screen shows a boxy vaguely car looking thing. On his desk are innumerable pieces of strangely shaped cards. In the centre of these pieces is a small boxy vaguely car looking thing. The Capt'n enters.
Capt'n
Bless me, what's this? Weetie packet slot cars?
Publicity Agent
Ha! This one's a real winner. It's a car park reserver.
Capt'n
This thing is a what?
He picks up model which immediately collapses like a piece of amateur origami into a strange flat shape.
Publicity Agent
A car park reserver, each night before I go home I'll set it up in a spare spot in the car park. When I cruise in at about twenty past nine the next day, I'll pull it down and park my car in its place.
Capt'n
People will just park over the top of it.
Publicity Agent
Na. That's just a model. Come with me.
The Publicity Agent leads the Capt'n out of his office and up the fire escape stairs.
Capt'n looks at the grey concrete steps running down to the basement and up to roof level
How do you keep track of where you are in this stair well?
Publicity Agent surprised
It's easy. See this chip in the wall, that's the first floor. Ah, this chalk line tells us this is the second floor.
The Publicity Agent exits the stair well and leads the Capt'n to AS2-218
Capt'n looks at missing plaster, bare concrete floor, holes in the wall, broken chair and other miscellaneous rubbish
What's this? It looks like a example of high class asset stripping.
Publicity Agent
It's just a front for my reserver workshop. Who would suspect ...
As he speaks the Publicity Agent continues through to the larger room beyond. In the centre of the room is a large boxy vaguely car looking thing painted yellow
Capt'n
Hell! It's the Yellow Peril. How did it get here?
Publicity Agent
No it's a car park reserver. I'm about to try it out. Watch. the Publicity Agent releases some tabs and starts folding.
In seconds the large boxy vaguely car looking thing painted yellow has folded down to a brief case sized pack complete with a handle and painted black
Capt'n
Hey! that's impressive!
Publicity Agent
Not bad eh? Let's try it out.
The two spiral their way down the stairwell and eventually exit at ground level,
the Publicity Agent carries the folded large boxy vaguely car looking thing painted yellow to the car park where he selects an empty parking bay and unfolds it.
He has barely done so when there is a screech of tyres from the Keck Street roundabout. A stolen car pursued by a police car crashes into the kerb. Its front suspension collapses.
Two particularly dangerous gentlemen, PDG, leave the car and run towards the Capt'n and the Publicity Agent.
PDG1
We're taking this car.
PDG2
Yeah.
They both dive into the unfolded large boxy vaguely car looking thing painted yellow.
PDG1
Golly, this ain't a car!
PDG2
Gosh no!
The Publicity Agent frantically starts folding the large boxy vaguely car looking thing painted yellow.
Publicity Agent
Capt'n, give me a hand, quickly.
In seconds the Capt'n and Publicity Agent have folded the large boxy vaguely car looking thing painted yellow down to its brief case size. The police arrive.
Sergeant
Where have they gone?
Publicity Agent proudly
They're in here, Inspector. When you want them, just unfold it.
Sergeant
Well done! I guess I owe you blokes a drink.
Capt'n, Publicity Agent together
